Last week was an eventful one for IMT Dubai. Right from participation in intellectual seminars, to sweating it out in the sports field, our students did it all!
On the sports front, our students did us proud by backing up the “Runners-up” position in the Badminton Tournament organized by City University College Ajman. Competing against 24 teams, Sahil Kamboj, Udit Nangia, Diwakar, Vishu Goel and Ayush Bansal put up a great competition.
Another group of students attended the 2015 HR Summit and EXPO from 16-18th November at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. It is the region’s largest gathering of HR Professionals, and therefore an ideal platform for students to learn, network and get inspired. The students attended a lecture by Neil Morrison, Group HR Director, Penguin Random House, UK on “How HR Helped Penguin Transform its Business Model” and another lecture by Yvonne Agyei, Vice President for People Operations at Google.
The week closed with a burst of colors, as the Bachelor’s students celebrated Ethnic Day on campus. Students were dressed up in bright ethnic attire and participated in different cultural events. Tabish Shaikh and Subhana _ were announced as Mr. and Ms. BSBA Ethnic, and Savannah D’mello and Abhijeet Padhi were the winners of the talent round.
